Awards - Victoria Record
Organizes and coordinates the Annual Awards for GVNA members who have made outstanding contributions in nursing practice, education, administration, legislation , membership, nurse graduate and student leadership. Award presentations are made in conjunction with the Association's Annual Awards Dinner, held in May of each year.
By-laws - Rosemary Roth
Reviews and evaluates existing by-laws, considers changes suggested by members and prepares proposed amendments for approval by the Board for submission to the voting body.
Editorial Board - Susan Lewish
Supervises all aspects of editing and production processes, and quality of GVNA Views, the Association's newsletter.
Finance - Theresa Glessner
Manages and interprets the GVNA financial accounts and provides end of year statement of these activities.
Fundraising - Joan Kuhn
Plans and implements fund raising activities to supplement the income of the Association, based on needs identified by the Finance Committee.
Legislative - Nancy Iafrati
Assists in promoting and interpreting the NYSNA legislative program; studies proposed local, state and federal legislation for its implication for nurses, nursing and health care delivery
Membership - Veronica Scott-Bliss
Assesses needs, develops and implements plans for membership promotion, recruitment and retention; reviews criteria and applications for Association scholarships and submits recommendations to the Board
Nominating - Ann-Marie John
Advises the members of this Association of the offices to be filled and requests the names of qualified members.
Program - Grace Wlasowicz
Plans, implements and evaluates programs designed to inform Association membership about current issues relevant to nursing practice and/or health care delivery for general membership meetings and annual meetings.
Public Relations - Victoria Record
Monitors media communications about nurses and health care. Coordinates interface between the media and the Association concerning press releases and advertising.
